Peres: Israel should negotiate with Hamas-led PA; Mashaal: No basis for negotiations with Israel

Shimon Peres says that Israel should negotiate with the Hamas-led 'Palestinian Authority.'

Peres noted that dialogue with Hamas would be 'difficult' because "Hamas was a religious movement that was nearly oblivious to what was happening in the rest of the world."

Peres is not a religious movement, but he is completely oblivious to what is happening in the rest of the world.

Hamas, on the other hand, continues to take the position that there is 'no basis for negotiations with Israel at this time.'

Exiled Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal said that the organization is willing to talk with the United States or with any other country - but not with Israel.
Mashaal also told an Omani news agency that Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's convergence plan was 'very dangerous'.

Maybe the Americans would like to have Shimon Peres be their Secretary of State? In the meantime, Shimon is all dressed up with no place to go....

America needs him like a hole in the head. Thanks, anyhow..and I still don't understand why he just doesn't move to an arab country.Picture him in a djellaba.

Would Amira Hass want to take him in?

IMHO, he is, for Israel, the enemy within, and Olmert showed even more clearly what he is by giving him an appointment.
