Thousands Rally in Zion Square - Olmert: No Investigation
While thousands of Israelis rally this evening in Jerusalem's Zion Square to protest the excessive use of force at 'Amona' last Wednesday, 'Acting Prime Minister' Ehud Olmert today arrogantly announced that he would permit no investigation into last week's violence. Tens of thousands of right-wing activists thronged the streets of downtown Jerusalem on Sunday evening to protest what they deemed to be excessive use of force by police during the evacuation and demolition of the Amona outpost on Wednesday last week.
The rally was being held under the slogan "[Acting Prime Minister Ehud] Olmert is bad for the Jews."

Contrary to the protestors' hopes, at Sunday's cabinet meeting, Olmert announced that he would not set up an investigative committee to look into the violence that erupted during the evacuation.
"The police and the army should not be part of political considerations," Olmert said. "You can't use the security forces to oust a government." [I would say that Olmert is the last conscious person in this country with the right to say that the police and the army should not be part of political considerations. And in Israel, this is called 'democracy.'

Not a word here in NY about this...not a word.
Olmert is morphing into Peres, and yes, he is very bad for the Jews. No investigation into the violence, where children were beaten so ruthlessly?? Handing money over to the 'Palestinians'? And getting ready to expel more Jews from their homes in Israel? Bad for the Jews? He is a menace; the enemy within.
I imagine the coffee houses in Tel Aviv were very busy.
