Of course: Obama-Kerry State Department asks Israel to show 'restraint'

In the face of unrelenting Hamas rocket fire, the best the 'most pro-Israel administration evah' can do is to call on Israel to 'show restraint.'
The United States on Monday night condemned the rocket fire by Hamas against Israel. Secretary of State John Kerry spoke to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Monday night in the wake of the heavy rocket fire on Israel. Kerry asked Netanyahu to “act with restraint” in his response to Hamas' pounding of southern Israel.
With that, State Department spokesperson Jean Psaki said that the US supported Israel's right to defend itself. “We condemn the firing of missiles at Israel and support Israel's right to defend itself.” Kerry, she said, had spoken to Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and asked both to work towards preventing a further flare-up in tensions.
Over 80 rockets were fired Monday evening alone.

The Jerusalem Post adds:
US Secretary of State John Kerry spoke with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu this weekend, reiterating Washington’s concern over an escalation in the conflict – exacerbated by the murders of Israeli and Palestinian teenagers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Since that weekend call, more than 90 projectiles have been fired from the coastal Palestinian territory into Israeli towns. One Israeli has been reported injured.
“We look to both the government of Israel and the Palestinian Authority to take all necessary steps to prevent acts of violence, bring perpetrators to justice, and protect the innocent,” State Department spokesman Edgar Vasquez added. “We are concerned about the safety and security of civilians on both sides - in Israel and in Gaza - and urge the protection of civilians.”
Hey guys - this isn't your border with Canada. In fact, it's not even your border with Mexico (although the Mexican border is getting closer to being like that). Just who do you think is going to stop Hamas in Gaza? Surely not the 'Palestinian Authority'....

When the American ambassador was killed in Benghazi, the CIA station attacked, and the US consulate burned down by jihadiis (maybe with Iranian Rev Guard support) the President of the United States of America went into full dither mode, speechifying about "dishonor to the Prophet" and offering vague bromides about "extremists"--this when American vital interests were knocked off the board.

One of the perpetrators was finally brought back to American shores after months of stonewalling only in a cynical effort to divert attention from ongoing disasters--VA, ISIL etc.

The current Administration, that situates itself in Emerald Kingdom of Obama, will certainly not offer Israel more support than it offers to its own country.

Peace is the only sure security.

Well yeah. That's also a tautology.

America is at peace with Canada. America and Canada are secure.

The trick is to be Canada with America as your neighbor or vice versa. Even America's southern border is looking a little shaky nowadays.

Israel doesn't live next to Mexico, the United States, or Canada.
