History of the Holy Land since 1516

In case you were wondering.
The truth is that there has never been a nation or state of Palestine in human history (nor did outnumbered and poorly-armed Holocaust survivors and Jewish refugees from Arab countries "expel" the Arabs within Israel's borders after being attacked by them and 5 Arab states in 1947-48).

Israel was carved out of a corner of the 400 year old Turkish Ottoman Empire by a **unanimous** vote of the League of Nations in 1922 -- exactly like Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq were.

But only tiny, democratic Israel's existence -- which is justified by deeper historical ties than any -- is questioned. None of the 22, incomparably larger Arab dictatorships and colonies surrounding it ever are. That discrimination alone is proof that anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism.

Hi Carl,

You should give credit to the author of this great series of maps, itself a rebuttal of one of the favorite Palestinian fraudulent map purportedly showing the progressive disappearance of what allegedly was "Palestine" (when in fact it never existed). His name is Philippe Assouline, and you can find the map on his blog at http://philassie.blogspot.co.il/2013/04/a-set-of-maps-that-i-in-order-to.html .

Thanks.
