"The United States had a different kind of President in the 1980's." Yes, a real President, not this phony poseur the Democrats and their MSM Presstitutes sold to a gullible public in 2008.

I really miss Reagan. I even miss W. Come January, when Romney is sworn in, I won't miss O. Romney will end up spending most of his first term fixing the damage that O & Co. inflicted on America.

Aye, but what about Osirak?

People have a VERY short memory...
Or they prefer may be to forget the ENORMOUS pressure the Reagan administration put on Israel in 1982-1985 because of Lebanon, the virulent anti-Israel attacks by the antisemites in the Reagan Admininistration, like Zbignev Brezinsky, Caspar Weinberger and George Shultz... As much as, besides Osirak, they forget who was President during the Pollard affair...
Wishful thinking at best.
Of course, Obama and his ilk are much worse, but let's not forget that, G.H.W. Bush included, the ONLY friend of Israel in the Reagan Administration was Alexander Haig!!!

HaDaR,

Zbig was Carter's Secretary of State - not Reagan's.

And Reagan did sign the strategic cooperation agreement with Israel.

Yes, when you look at his record as a whole, you have to include the bad sides you included. But compared to Obama or Bush I, Reagan was wonderful.

Zbigniew Brzezinski was Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor.

Cyrus Vance was Carter's first Secretary of State, succeeded by Carter's second Secretary of State, Edmund Muskie.

To borrow a Churchill quote, all three of these men had much to be modest about.
