Threats against Jews in my former community

This is the town where Mrs. Carl and I used to live before we moved to Israel.

On Wednesday morning, there was a fire bomb attack against a synagogue and its rabbi in the next town over (a town where there was no synagogue when we left 20 years ago).

Let's go to the videotape (Hat Tip: Alan S).

By the way, the cop is too young to remember but there were riots in Passaic (not in the part where the Jewish community is today) on August 3, 1969.

Well, in '08 (can't believe almost 4 yrs have gone by since this!), do you remember that there was a firebomb thrown into the house of a Hillel guy (Israeli - one of the shlihim) at Brown University in Providence. I remember being frosted because they never did announce that they figured out who did it and I think the guy ended up moving away. I know people around there and it was just tsk, tsk and silence about it. Ugh. Makes you want cameras all over like the U.K. because if the other citizens are going to be silent about it, then the residents need to be able to defend themselves with imagery. Here's from a google on it: http://www.browndailyherald.com/campus-news/no-progress-in-firebomb-investigation-1.1669262#.Tw81vN2ftBk
