'Palestinians' believe that US aid is a right

The 'Palestinian Authority' has slammed the United States for cutting off aid in light of the 'Palestinians' application to the United Nations for membership. The 'Palestinians' claim that they have a 'right' to US aid because the US is 'morally responsible' for the creation of the State of Israel.
Throughout 2011, Palestinian Authority leaders have mocked and minimized the significance of US aid, and even dared the US to cut off its funding of the PA.

Now that the US has announced a freeze of $200 million dollars, PA leaders are criticizing the US, claiming the freeze is "blackmail." Fatah added that the US and other countries owe the Palestinians financial aid on moral grounds, calling US aid to the PA an "obligation" and a "political and moral right" because the US "aided in the establishment of the State of Israel."

Earlier this year, both PM Salam Fayyad and Chairman Mahmoud Abbas criticized the US for linking its financial support to the PA's political cooperation. Fayyad called US requests "extortion" and Mahmoud Abbas said: "The US is assisting us in the amount of $460 million annually. This does not mean that they dictate to us whatever they want." (See quotes and sources below.)
Read the whole thing for a lengthy list of quotes from 'Palestinian' media that first mocked the importance of US aid and are now condemning the US for suspending that aid.

If this is only about the 'occupation' since 1967, shouldn't the 'Palestinians' be claiming that the US is 'morally responsible' for the results of the Six Day War and not for the creation of the State of Israel? Actually, the 'Palestinians' cannot claim that the US is responsible for the results of either war because the US imposed an arms embargo on Israel as soon as the War of Independence broke out, and because the US did not become an arms supplier to Israel until after the Six Day War of 1967 (France was our arms supplier before 1967).

Michael Rubin adds:
Let’s put aside the fact the parties most responsible for the Palestinian predicament are the Palestinians themselves, and their horrible choice of leadership who, to paraphrase Abba Eban, has never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. There is nothing more noxious than the idea American aid is an entitlement which need not be earned. Most aid is tied to the agreements the Palestinians now reject and therefore should be forfeited. Let’s hope the Congress will stick to its guns, so the Palestinians don’t. Let’s also hope the State Department will one day learn that allocation and provision of aid is not a metric by which to judge success; results are.
Amen.

They keep forgetting it is NOT THEIR MONEY. It is the money of the American people who:

1. Don't like them.
2. Don't trust them.
3. Don't want them to have any US money.
