IDF has photos of armed Mavi Marmara terrorists... but won't release them?!?

A reminder to all of you that I am still in Boston, and therefore will be posting later today than would otherwise be the case.

It took a year, but the IDF has announced that it has found photos of IHH terrorists on the Mavi Marmara with live ammunition. For some strange reason, they won't release them.
Photos recently obtained by the Navy show a weapon hanging off the shoulder of one of the IHH members. Another photo shows a gun. It is as yet unclear who took the photos. One of the images allegedly shows MK Hanin Zoabi, who took part in the flotilla, standing next to an armed activist.

Navy commandos who took part in the raid later testified that the IHH men had at least two firearms and at least one of them was used to fire at the soldiers immediately after they descended on the ship. One of the commandos was hurt by a 9 mm bullet not used by the IDF.

Navy sources could not explain why the photos have only recently been received.

"One photo of activists carrying firearms is worth a 100 combatants' testimonies," a military source said. "It's a PR asset of the first order."

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said in response: "These are looted materials under inspection. Once the operational and intelligence examinations are completed, the army will decide whether to publish them."

MK Zoabi said: "I will only be able to respond once I have seen the picture. I did not see any armed person standing next to me and similar claims in the past have turned out to be false."
Could we at least get them released before the next round of flotillas sets sail? Maybe seeing that there might be weapons on board will get some of these people to reconsider their participation!

Carl - as a break from the usual commentary, this video of Rabbi Yitzhak Grossman and a group of IDF paratroopers will enthrall you. G-d is everywhere, even among Israel's finest fighting men.

The Rabbi And The IDF Paratroopers

An unusual story but it will leave you feeling uplifted at the end.

Move over Paris, say hello to Ankara. Latest reports, President Obama offers his own "swap" to Turkey's Islamists: cancel flotilla and they get to host "peace negotiations" between Israel and the Palestinians. At least they can say hello to their buddies from Hamas if any are on board as "non-partisan technocrats".

You can sort of see it from the ingenue internationalist reset outreach point of view from the Marvelous O but these are talks Israel is supposed to attend and offering Turkey bonus points as host does raise some eyebrows. Was the Muslim Brotherhood's visiting center overbooked?

If Israel invites a Temple Mount Faithful groundbreaking ceremony at the Al Asqa Mosque and then backs out, could Israel host the talks at the Knesset?
