Israel Radio reports that 625 housing units in Pisgat Zev and about 900 in Har Homa - both in 'east' Jerusalem across the 1949 armistice lines - were approved (not clear to me what stage) while Obama was speaking.
Heh.

Damn. My brother is going to be upset. He lives in Pisgat Ze'ev. They've been itching to build in a lot that's being used as a parkette across from his apartment and he'll lose a lot of his sunlight. He's also not happy with the traffic situation, especially since the rapid transit has eaten up a car lane.
But what does this mean?
Any updates on this one? I heard about this when my relative visited us in our old home in apartments in Greenville SC. Haven't really catch up with what's going on ever since.
