Yerushalayim is not for sale

Shavua tov, a good week to everyone.

Like me, Caroline Glick is deeply disturbed by reports that Prime Minister Netanyahu has apparently accepted the Obama administration's demand that Israel retreat to the 1949 armistice lines and 'lease' Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley for some period of time. The only dispute between Netanyahu and Obama is apparently the length of the lease! Glick notes that even if Netanyahu is expecting that the 'Palestinians' will turn down the deal, that's not good enough.
NETANYAHU KNOWS full well that Israel cannot survive without the Jordan Valley. He also knows that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people and that we are the rightful owners of this land. So what explains his actions?

In acting as he is, Netanyahu is clearly trying to avert yet another crisis with the Obama administration. No doubt he believes that the Palestinians will save the day again by refusing to make a deal with Israel. Just as the Palestinians refuse to accept Israel's right to exist, just as they refuse to give up on their demand that Israel destroy itself by accepting millions of foreign born Arabs as full citizens in the framework of a "peace" agreement; and just as they refuse to accept any limitations on the sovereignty of a future Palestinian state, so Netanyahu believes, they will refuse to lease the Jordan Valley and Jerusalem to Israel for 40 or 99 years.

Netanyahu may be right to think this. The Palestinians may reject the deal. But he is taking an enormous risk.

Yassir Arafat didn't have a problem lying to Yitzhak Rabin in 1993. To get Rabin to set up the Palestinian Authority, arm the PLO, raise billions of dollars in international aid for the PA, and allow it to expand to the outskirts of Israel's major cities, Arafat lied and said that the PLO recognized Israel and would live at peace with the Jewish state.

It is easy to imagine Mahmoud Abbas, Arafat's deputy of forty years acting in a similar fashion.

And then what would Netanyahu do?

If Netanyahu's tactics could only cause Israel tactical damage, his gamble that the Palestinians will also refuse this deal might be defensible. But his tactics cause Israel strategic harm even if the Palestinians reject this deal as well. And so they are inexcusable.

Israel cannot survive without the Jordan Valley. By negotiating a surrender of the Jordan Valley, Netanyahu makes it acceptable for the US and the rest of the world to demand that Israel commit national suicide.

Even worse than that, Netanyahu's willingness to negotiate with the US on the basis of a plan that rejects the Jewish people's right to the land of Israel confuses Israel's friends and so dooms their defenses of Israel to failure.

By accepting the legitimacy of this proposal, Netanyahu is telling Israel's supporters abroad that the Palestinians are right. Israel belongs to the Arabs more than it belongs to the Jews. With this message, the only thing supporters of Israel can do is encourage the Israeli government to make territorial concessions that are suicidal for the country.

This disastrous belief has been engendered since the inception of the Oslo process in 1993. Its deleterious influence abroad is evidenced by the flood of statements over the years by Israel's supporters claiming that Israel must vacate Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley and the Golan Heights.

Take a recent statement by the American pollster Frank Luntz. Luntz often advises American pro-Israel groups about how to improve Israel's image in the world. Yet as this friend of Israel sees things, "The only way for Israel to create sympathy is to be the side working hardest for peace. The best case for Israel is to demonstrate that she is willing to go twice as far as her neighbors to establish peace."
Do I get to say 'I told you so' yet?

Caroline ends with this:
FOR 17 LONG years, successive Israeli leaders have come into office committed to defending the country only to be reduced within a few short months to quibbling over the price of surrender. Leaders from the Right hoped that the Palestinians would scuttle the deals. Leaders from the Left begged the Palestinians to accept them.

If Netanyahu wishes to be remembered as something more than another hack no different from Livni and all the rest, he should end these destructive talks and tell the Obama administration the truth: Israel's survival is non-negotiable and the rights of the Jewish people are not for sale.
So does that mean that we tell everyone that the reality is that there can't be a 'Palestinian state' because Israel won't survive it (God forbid)? That's the reality....

Read the whole thing.

It's time for revolution, Jordan must be toppled as a Monarchy, freedom for it's population to vote and choose what they call themselves..

I personally do not believe in a real people called Palestinian. They are as real as the Crips and the Bloods being a real people who qualify for nationhood.

But it's not for me to say.

So maybe the BEST thing we can do is complte cutting off all ties to "Palestine" both in the east bank and the west bank and gaza...

Give them their rights, let them declare a state and claim Jerusalem and Tel Aviv...

Let them act on that ...

Then utterly destroy them.

Level their cities, drive the gazans into the sinai, drive the west bankers into the east bank.

It's war folks.

the otherside says so..

wake up and start preparing for it...

Peace?

Usually happens when one side gets it's ass kicked.

Time to actually treat this as a war.

Destroy them.

I am not advocating genocide. I am advocating actual real war with populations fleeing...

happens all the time..

except for the fake people called "palestinians"

they call themselves "refugees", ok fine, go live in tents in the sinai...

the UN will feed you give you water and medical help, but your cities will lay waste...

No more high rises, machine shops, cell phone companies....

You have decalred war?

then war you shall get...

I thought E Jerusalem is annexed. Under Israeli law, it is Israel. I'm sitting in a house in Arnona typing this. Googlemaps shows the green line cutting through the house. I walked my grandchildren on the Tayelet after their shabbat naps. This is as much Israel as Tel Aviv.

Nobody will stand for rolling back time to pre'67. I don't think it is possible without a civil war starting.

Kahanism has always been the answer.

If the Arabs cannot tolerate living in E"Y they will not live there any more. They will be forced to find new homes [and let G-d bless them if they stay out of trouble]. If they leave peacefully they receive compensation; if not they will simply leave [far more fair than what the Jews of Arab lands received in 1948].

The Arabs in Israel have 22 Arab states where they can live with their brother Arabs under the same Islamic rule they vivaciously demand rule our Israel.

If the Arabs are so foolish as to attack Israel again, Israel will reconquer and liberate G-d given Jewish lands from the Arab invaders who occupy them [the land is to be annexed immediately and all Arabs expelled as quickly as can be]. If need be [and only the Arabs and Muslims can decide this] Israel will rule from Morocco to Turkey to Yemen to Pakistan [and all lands in between].

G-d bless Meir Kahane the Rabbi and true Tzadik [let his blood be avenged][he is missed tremendously].

Israel is not for sale?

Will some one please tell Bibi?

As Shy Guy would say, if its OK to lease Israel from the Arabs, why not ask them for permission to live there too?

This is what we've come to expect from Nothingyahu. The Land Of Israel and Jerusalem belongs to the Jewish nation and no one in authority has the right to ever give it away to any one.

Not even for peace.

What could go wrong indeed

If Bibi so much as floats this "lease" idea in public, he will be announcing to the world that we have no right to be here. It's a truly horrific thought.
