Jaw-dropping statement of the day

Today's jaw-dropping statement of the day comes from former President Bill Clinton.
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton said Tuesday that solving the Middle East dilemma will remove the incentive for most of the acts of terror in the world. Speaking to a group of Egyptian businessmen in Cairo, Clinton said that resolving issues between Israel and PA would reduce terror significantly, and deny countries like Iran and Syria the opportunity to stir up trouble.

β€œIt will take about half the impetus in the whole world β€” not just the region, the whole world β€” for terror away," Clinton said, adding "It would have more impact by far than anything else that could be done."
I am not aware of any comments from any of the European countries that are currently under a US State Department (and UK and Japan and others) travel advisory due to a series of potential terror attacks. I am also not aware of any comments from the governments of Afghanistan or Pakistan.

Maybe they're all in the 'other half.'

The Jews are expected to solve all the world's problems.

And the kind of outcome Bill Clinton envisages no doubt thrills the PA.

But it will meet a cold reception in Israel.

I think we can say "Shalom Chaver" to that guy for good now.

Stupid and dangerous. Stupid for obvious reasons, although I think Clinton and others really do believe that Israel is the primary source of 'unrest' in the Middle East.

Dangerous because it not-so-obliquely makes Israel, and whatever decisions she makes in the current 'peace process', responsible for Islamic terrorism everywhere.

Bill and Hillary may agree, but only Bill was quoted.
