In Bibi we don't believe

This will give you an idea of how much little faith Israelis have that Prime Minister Netanyahu will stand up to President Obama.
A poll release Sunday said that 73% of Israelis expected Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to comply with demands by U.S. President Barack Obama. Netanyahu is expected to “more or less” comply with Obama's demand on continuing to prevent Jewish building in Judea and Samaria. The poll also showed that only 28% of Israelis believe that the Jewish presence n Judea and Samaria is damaging to relations with the U.S., less than half of the 53% who said this was the case in 2009. The poll, of Israelis living outside Judea and Samaria, was presented Sunday at Ariel University.
I guess that at least we recognize when someone is lying to us even if we don't necessarily do anything about it. Obama may be able to fool American Jews but he can't fool us. No, like the Arabs, Obama would hate us regardless of whether we were in Judea and Samaria. What could go wrong?

Unless you guys think you can come up with someone better who can win electorally, I would suggest finding ways to back him up with your contacts, etc. He is more forceful than your recent past PMs. If you want somebody even more forceful, then they better get out there and start making their case. It won't help to undermine the one without putting forward the second, because it weakens IL's effectiveness.

That Netanyahu can or will stand to pressure on ANY issue of consequence is a laughable one. We're already seeing Israel maneuver on how to subject itself to another Goldstone II. The only real question is what fig leaf is available to make it palatable to the Israeli government.

What could go wrong indeed

Eventually, Bibi will have to stand up to Obama. The Israel "problem" is clearly an agenda item for Obama and that bodes ill for Israel because he clearly stated his intention of fundamentally changing the relationships in the ME. It doesn't take a genius to interpret what that means.
