New revelations about the Goldstone Report

There's an important and lengthy video of a lecture by former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations Dore Gold that raises new and serious questions regarding the Goldstone Report. The video runs about 36 minutes and is well worth watching in its entirety here.

UPDATE 2:40 PM

More on this story here.

I don't buy the idea that Israel doesn't have thermal imaging capable drones.

I've also read a compelling defense of the statement that "something like two" rockets were launched before the operations began. Essentially saying that he is referring to the Nov. 4th operation against the "Offensive Tunnel" (which I would really like to hear more about from Israel). This of course doesn't address the fact that Operation Cast Lead, which he was supposed to investigate occurred two months later, with Hamas declaring there would be no extension of a "ceasefire" and Israeli leaders begging for an extension "or else..."

Neither of these points make Travers' worldview or bias any less repugnant. It simply makes the case that rather than blatantly lying, he has a deep misunderstanding of the underlying context of events. These points do, however, undermine the arguments of those who are pointing out Travers' bias, by making it appear as though it is US who is distorting facts.

Just a few thoughts.
