James Jones to speak at J Street gala

Obama National Security Adviser James Jones will be the keynote speaker at the J Street gala dinner at the end of this month. If you want an indication of what he might say, here he is speaking at the American Task Force for 'Palestine' dinner this past week.

Let's go to the videotape.

Someone please let me know why 'Palestine' has to be contiguous between the 'West Bank' and Gaza, but Israel can be cut down the middle by whatever makes 'Palestine' contiguous.

Jones, about whom I warned you in 2007 when he was appointed to monitor compliance with the 'road map,' will fit right in at J Street.
But officials warned Thursday that Jones's appointment could actually be detrimental for Israel since the general, whom they said is known for having a cold attitude towards Israel, would put pressure on the IDF to prematurely compromise on security issues at a time that the Palestinian security forces are not yet prepared to crack down on terror - as they are expected to under the Road Map.
Another speaker at the ('pro-Israel, pro-peace') J Street event is a 'poet' named Josh Healy (via Power Line).
THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned that among the speakers is Josh Healey, author of the following "poem":
we call ourselves the chosen people
but I'm asking chosen for what?
chosen to recreate our own history
merely reversing the roles
with the script now reading that
we're the ones writing numbers
on the wrists of babies born in
the ghetto called Gaza
?
Healey also performs his poetry live. Here he is doing a poetry slam about Ronald Reagan -- "the first coming of crack/ white Jesus pushing white powder/ remaking chocolate city the capital of the murder map." Another poem by Healey, called "Queer Intifada," about his participation in the "Palestinian solidarity march," has him declaring “Guantanamo is Auschwitz" (go to the 3:14 mark for that gem and at 3:11 you can hear that Anne Frank is Matthew Shepard).
J Street has also invited a speaker who blames Israel for 9/11:
J Street, the pro-peace, pro-Palestinian lobbying group, is having a conference this October that will feature a wide range of speakers -- from Salam Al-Marayati, the executive director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council to Bernard Avishai, author of The Tragedy of Zionism and The Hebrew Republic and Eli Pariser the former director of MoveOn.org. It's going to be super "pro-Israel," I'm sure. But the appearance of Salam Al-Marayati ought to raise a few eyebrows. Not only is he an apologist for Palestinian terrorism, but he pointed the finger at Israel for the murder of 3,000 Americans on 9/11 just hours after the Twin Towers fell. His quote, as it was reported in the New York Times:
''If we're going to look at suspects, we should look to the groups that benefit the most from these kinds of incidents, and I think we should put the state of Israel on the suspect list because I think this diverts attention from what's happening in the Palestinian territories so that they can go on with their aggression and occupation and apartheid policies.''
You can read more egregious comments from Al-Marayati here, courtesy of the ZOA.
The next time someone tells you that J Street is 'pro-Israel, pro-peace,' tell them that's two lies.

Will 78% of American Jews vote for Obama the next time?

You know they're really pro-Israel when they invite a known hater of Israel to address them.

Et tu, J-Street?

You ask:
"Will 78% of American Jews vote for Obama the next time?"

My guess is 'yes'. They did last time when anyone could see what Oy-vey-ma's views on Israel would likely be.
