Overnight music video

I happen to like this song a lot. The singer is Mordechai Ben David, who actually gave a private concert in our apartment in 1998 (long story how that happened and not for a publicly available blog).

Enjoy!

Let's go to the videotape.

Here's what the words mean (the Spanish came along as a bonus):
Shiru Lamelech
(And now the children will sing the King...)

(And now the children sing, sing...)
(Y ahora los hijos cantan, cantan...)

Ve'ata banim shiru La'Melech
(And now the children will sing the King...)

Ve'ata banim shiru shiru shiru La'Melech
(And now the children will sing, sing To HaShem, The King)

Betiferet mefoar
(with magnificent glory)
(con magnífica gloria)

Ve'ashrei avadav oy avadav
(And blissful are those servants of him, who praise him aloud)

(Anyone who proclaims with Voice, a voice of praise)

Ve'ata banim shiru shiru shiru La'Melech
(And now the children will sing, sing To HaShem, The King)

Shiru shiru La'Melech
(Sing, sing to the King...)
(Cantan, cantan al Rey...)
It was filmed on the roof of an apartment in the Jewish quarter of the Old City - I am fairly sure I know which apartment it was.

Thank you for posting. I have heard this a number of times and always wanted to know the words! I always feel very emotional when I hear this.
