Hmmm....

Lebanese Armed Forces troops have discovered an Internet server in their country that is routed through Israel. How much Lebanese Internet traffic is affected depends on which version of the story you believe. YNet makes it sound like a relatively isolated incident.
Lebanese security forces discovered an Israeli internet server hidden in a small town in Lebanon's Chouf District, the Hezbollah-owned al-Manar network reported Saturday.

The report said the server was wired to antennae aimed in the direction of Israel, and that all of the equipment was confiscated.

The Lebanese OTV network, owned by politician Michel Aoun, reported that the army had broken into a structure in Jabal al-Baruch in April and found equipment suspected of serving Israeli intelligence.

The report said the army had intervened after receiving intelligence regarding an "illegal internet company" operating within its borders.
But DEBKA makes it sound much more significant:
A large Lebanese army force which raided the Lebanese Internet network center on Mt. Barukh east of the Lebanese town of Jezzine Saturday, Aug. 8 was dismayed to discover the exchange center which carries all of Lebanon's Internet links using equipment made in Israel. An intelligence sweep found the servers were routed to an exchange center in Haifa.

The soldiers impounded piles of equipment and rounded up several detainees at the mountain center and several Lebanese Internet companies.

Upon learning of the discovery, Hizballah demanded an immediate and thorough investigation of how all of Israeli intelligence acquired free access to all Lebanese internet communications like an open book.
Hmmm.

"YNet makes it sound like a relatively isolated incident."

The DEBKA article entitled "Russian secret service helped Hizballah bust Israel's Lebanese spy rings" linked from their Internet article shows this to be a far more ominous development. Iran, Syria and Iran's proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah appear to have decided that only the Intel. agency of their ALLY, Russia, the Russian FSB, (formerly known as the KGB), can sucessfully deal with the Israeli Mossad and any other Intel. entities of Israel.

If this is true, that means that Russia is now a defacto enemy of Israel no less than are Iran and Syria.

Intel is Israel Inside. Hezbollah should stick with AMD and shun Microsoft.
