Harry Reid signs on

Last Tuesday, I noted that Senators Evan Bayh (D-Ind) and James Risch (R-Idaho) were circulating a letter among their Senate colleagues that urges the Obama administration to press Arab countries to offer confidence building measures to Israel.

Politico now updates that story and reports that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) has signed on along with 43 other Senators. Jonathan Martin of Politico notes:
A host of groups that take a more moderate view on the Middle East have urged senators not to sign the letter, noting that it makes no mention of Israeli settlements.
This is the second such letter Reid has signed.

It's tough being up for re-election, isn't it? Heh.
