Hamas moving to Tehran?

Israel Radio reported in its 8:30 update that a Saudi newspaper claims that the meeting between Ahamdinejad and Assad in Damascus today is to discuss moving Hamas' headquarters from Damascus to Tehran.

I wonder if this is meant to convince us that Syria is cutting off the terror organizations and detaching itself from Iran so that we will be pressured to give them the Gift of the Golan. If so, I don't buy it.

If its true, it more likely to underline Hamas' status as a terrorist client of Iran rather than being a move to underscore new found Syrian moderation towards the West. It changes nothing.

Ynet is reporting that in the late 90's Bibi and then negotiator Ron Lauder came very close to making a deal with syria.

I don't think Israel wants to have Iran being able to see into the heart of Israel - which is what would happen if Israel came down from the Golan.

It would be suicidal for the Jewish State to even contemplate such a move.
