Video: Interview with Representative Jane Harman (D-Cal.)

On Monday, I reported on the accusations against California Democrat Jane Harman, who has been accused of seeking 'leniencies' for two AIPAC officials whose trial is scheduled to open next month.

In this interview with Andrea Mitchell, Harman seems quite confident that there is nothing incriminating in the wiretaps of her conversations, and urges that they be released unredacted.

Let's go to the videotape. I'll have a follow-up comment afterward.

Harman may be a Democrat, but it's no secret that she's out of favor with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal.). Her reaction reminds me a lot of former Vice President Dick Cheney trying to call President Obama's bluff on the 'torture memos' (Hat Tip: Instapundit). Anyone else think what we might be witnessing is an abuse of power by those in power?

I am going to stick with my explanation of the timing of these accusations: I believe they are timed to make the charges against the two AIPAC lobbyists look like there is more behind them than there really is.

There is that and certain factions in the federal bureaucracy use anti-Israel sentiment as a card to gain an advantage in power struggles. That's the case regardless of what Administration is in power in Washington.

Harman is Jewish and a great advocate for Israel.

Two strikes against her with SOBs like David Szady who is leading the AIPAC investigation for the FBI and has frequently targeted Jews in the past.

And if anyone is listening illegally, it's virtually certain that it's Democrats who are behind it. The fact the she is a Dem isn't relevant. With the anti-Semitism nearly all on the Dem side, she has no real "friends" among their leadership. Like she said, she had a promise in writing, which they didn't honor, kind of like Lucy's promises to Charley Brown.

Like O'Bungler, the worst of them will gladly throw their fellows under the bus, if it advances their agenda, which is not very friendly to Jews at present.

So, why are Jews overwhelmingly Democrats, (as apparently is Harman)? What's up with that? They are nuts, is the only explanation I can offer.
