'Palestinian Authority' television celebrates most murderous terror attack

On March 11, 1978, a group of 'Palestinian' terrorists commandeered an Israeli bus traveling from Haifa to Tel Aviv and murdered 37 civilians. The terror attack is known as the Coastal Road Massacre.

On March 11, 2009, the 'good terrorists' from Fatah commemorated that event on 'Palestinian Authority' television, presumably at American or European taxpayer expense since that's where they get most of their money. This is from Palestinian Media Watch.
The terror attack on March 11, 1978, involved a bus hijacking that left 37 civilians dead. The Palestinian Authority celebrated the 20th anniversary of the attack with an hour-long TV special about the hijacking. The program included file footage of PLO training camps, and interviews with a number of terrorists describing the planning and implementation of the attack.

The program opened with the narrator glorifying the attack as:

"... one of the most important and most prominent special operations, executed by the Palestinian revolution by sea, on the coast between Haifa and Tel Aviv. This operation, carried out by a team of heroes and led by the heroic fighter Dalal Mughrabi, had great impact on continuing events of the Arab-Israeli conflict."

[PA TV (Fatah), March 11, 2009]
Let's go to the videotape.

Dalal Mughrabi's body was turned over to Lebanon as part of the exchange of Samir al-Kuntar and four lesser lights for the bodies of Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev HY"D (may God avenge their blood). The 'Palestinian Authority' celebrated her release and al-Jazeera did a sick interview with her mother around the same time.

I'm sure that glorifying terrorists is going to get them to make 'peace' real soon....

It was a Motzei Shabbat. I was on one of those antique British Leyland Egged buses, heading north on highway 4, the road parallel to the coastal highway. We were somewhere north of the turn to Netanya.

The bus was much emptier than usual.

We watched the flares go up in the sky above the coast as the radio broadcast the latest known details.

I remember the night well.

These are the kind of charming people Ehud Olmert wants to set up a reichlet for. Too bad the old man didn't watch the PA video!
