Debbie explains why we should care that an individual with Lahood's political views is Secretary of Transportation.Normally, I'd say it's great to get LaHood out of Congress, where he can continue to be Hezbollah's water carrier and do damage to American interests in the Mid-East. But he retired from Congress. He was out of the picture. Now, Obama has resuscitated this classic specimen of a political hack without a conscience.I'd be most concerned by that last point. US airport security is still far from ideal (having just gone through it three times in the last three and a half weeks, I can confirm that they're still looking for shoes and liquids and not for terrorists).
Far more disturbing, as Transportation Secretary, LaHood will have access to classified information about when and where our nuclear weapons and toxic materials are being transported on federal highways. Should a man who carried water for HAMAS and Hezbollah in Congress have access to this info? Sadly, he'll have it.
And that's a very scary thought.
More scary, given his views on profiling and secret evidence, is the fact that LaHood will oversee the FAA. Think about that the next time you're flying and the six flying imams get on the plane.
Traveling isn't what it used to be in the US. Unless you've reached a frequent traveler bonus level on an airline, getting through security can take half an hour or more. And I'm not convinced that they're any more effective at finding terrorists today than they were seven years ago. And that's a scary thought.

I wonder if he's related to Emil Lahoud. Must be a big hamula. I saw the name of The One's pick, and I thought, uh-oh, Lebanese. BTW- I'm not so sure of his Jewish pick's either, considering Rahmbo the Bully.
Well this just goes hand in hand with what seems like an Obama plan to sell out our infrastructure to our enemies. It also jive with Muhammad's example for conducting jihad, whereby after psychological preparation and intelligence gathering the next step was economic and infrastructure jihad (control of trade, trade routes, supplies, etc -- in Mo's case it was caravans). They're just following Mo's plan. Big Obama bundler Adebayo Ongunlesi's Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) putting in bids for infrastructure like airports, energy, roads, etc. Obama and Keith Ellison want National Infrastructure Bank. It all fits together, all not good.
