I received this in my morning email. I don't know where else it will be playing other than Encino, California, but somehow I doubt it will play in Jerusalem - the chattering classes won't allow it.

CJHSLA Film and Lecture Series presents The Southern California premiere of the compelling political documentary and Q & A with the director and filmmaker, Joel Gilbert

Sunday, October 19, 2008 • 3 PM —

Temple Ner Maarav 17730 Magnolia Blvd. • Encino, CA 91316

This film reaches the unavoidable conclusion that Western and Israeli misunderstanding of Islam is leading to a coming war with devastating consequences for the West, and worst of all for Israel - Farewell Israel!

A must-see film

Joel Gilbert, writer and director of Farewell Israel, is a graduate of the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies and London School of Economics and Political Science. He is one of the few Western scholars of historic Islamic-Jewish relations. Gilbert has lived, studied, and traveled in the Middle East, including Egypt, Israel, Morocco, and Pakistan. He speaks Arabic and Hebrew, and lectures on the Middle East.
