I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' I see a new acceptance across the world for "radical" leaders...
From arafat to abbas, from Joschka Fischer of germany to now in America we have Obama, Ayers, Hoffman etc..
What these people do not understand is that an opposite and equal reaction from the other side will occur..
I predict far right wingers, that have done violence will start to now not be shunned and come "out"
You have 2 kinds of kaffiya wearers,
1.) the clueless pseudo-politicals, the 'professional student' types who sleep on mommies couch until they are 43; sleeping in until 1:00pm; attending protests for anything and everything; and thinking Noam Chomsky is the messiah (how anyone can take a man who thinks Stalinist Russia, the greatest killer of humans in world history, is more humane than modern day USA is byeond me!)
2.) The 'trendists' - they wear it because LIKE, it's so, LIKE, cool. It's so LIKE, 'rebel chic'... I saw a girl the other day who wore a purple kaffiya... I can't wait until the swastika comes back in vogue, like, my Gucci armband has been collecting dust since last year!
Oy... How it is Jews in the USA still vote for the Democrats is unfathomable, it is especially shocking this year with Obama. The guy is at best, more leftwing than Jimmy Carter (sat by as Iran invaded American soil and held it for a year and a half... Didn't do a thing to stop it!), he is at worst a MYSTERY (G*d knows what he's about, he sure moves his lips alot, but he don't say nuttin')

It's the 'Democrat Convention' not the 'Democratic Convention'. Best not to give them credit for what they are not.
