'80% of freed prisoners go back to terrorism'

This is an interview with Meir Indor, the head of the Almagor terror victims organization. Unfortunately, his English is not particularly fluent, but the message is quite strong: releasing terrorists from prison is insane. Most of the 'prisoners' being released tomorrow tried to murder someone but did not succeed. Two did succeed - one of them twice. 80% of terrorists released from prison go back to terrorism.

Something is really wrong here. Let's go to the videotape.

Israel has no death penalty and its prison system coddles rather than punishes terrorists. Why should any one be surprised that released terrorists have high recidivism rates? Israel doesn't punish Palestinians since in Leftist speak that would be blaming the victim and its the fault of Israeli society they go out and murder Jews. It does sound familiar.

Is the no death penalty policy for religious reasons?

Otherwise why would they not execute some of the murderers they arrest?
