New IDF orders for Gaza: 'Don't shoot at armed terrorists'

In a paragraph that somehow didn't make it into the English edition of the same article, Haaretz reports in its Hebrew edition on ridiculous new 'open fire' (link in Hebrew) orders that were given to IDF troops operating on the Gaza periphery this past weekend. (Translation by IMRA):
"Last weekend new shooting orders were issued for the area around the Gaza Strip. The soldiers are permitted to respond with fire to fire against them or rocket fire, but cannot act against Palestinians operating next to the fence, even if they are armed, if there is not solid information that they intend to carry out an attack."
In other words, wait for them to carry out a terror attack before opening fire. Unbelievable!

Yep. It seems like the bozos running Israel want to give Hamas an excuse so they can finally fire back. Which is what they should have done in the first place, if they weren't pre-occupied with trying to save their rear ends first.
