A 'collaborator's confession'

On Saturday night, I reported that 'Human Rights Watch' has asked Hamas to 'investigate' the torture of 'collaborators' by Islamic Jihad. In that post, I noted that the press release on 'Human Rights Watch's site included links to two of the 'confessions' in Arabic. Now, one of those 'confessions' has been translated into English.

Let's go to the videotape.

In case any of you did not recognize the name, the "Barhoum" family is the family of Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum and of Saraa Barhoum, the child host of al-Aqsa Television's "Pioneers of Tomorrow."

Its childish of Western liberals to think Arabs will give up their hatred of Jews. Just one summer ago, they were throwing each other off rooftops and slitting each other's throats. These are not the kind of people receptive to appeals by outsiders to respect the dignity of their own people. Human Rights Watch really screwed the pooch here with its misplaced appeal for mercy to Hamas.
