Yearly Kos on Israel

I couldn't face having to wade through lengthy videos of the Yearly Kos convention to find the part that most interested me - what they had to say about Israel. Thanks to Daled Amos, I didn't have to wade through it, and now, you don't have to either. Click on the pulldown menu to "jump to tagged clip" below and select "Progressive Middle East." It runs from approximately 9:28 to 13:19 on the tape.

Assuming that Yearly Kos and its speakers are representative of the Democratic party (and they are certainly representative of its 'activists'), I have to seriously question how anyone who calls himself a supporter of Israel can vote for this party, absent specific reasons that apply only to individual candidates. (For example, I would vote for Joe Lieberman if he were running as a Democrat).

The majority of American Jews are liberal first and Jews maybe tenth.
Only 400 rabbis marched on DC, but thousands rallied for the rosenbergs etc...
The jews who came from e. europe in the early 1900's were the functional equivalent of these Jews who stayed in Spain in 1492 and became good Catholics.
The heart and soul of American Jewry are the refugees of Hitler and Stalin, not the fiddler on the roof crowd.
