Abu Mazen asks the West not to fund Hamastan

Arutz Sheva is reporting this evening that Abu Mazen has asked the West not to fund the Hamas-led 'Palestinian Authority.'

According to Arutz Sheva, at a recent closed-door meeting with representatives of Western nations, Abu Mazen asked the representatives not to transmit funding for salaries for the 150,000 PA employees. Their source for this information is not named.

Abu Mazen has no interest in strengthening his Hamas enemies, who currently run the Palestinian Authority.

But the West continues to seek methods of financing the 'Palestinian Authority.' While the West is seeking a mechanism to ensure that any money provided does not go to Hamas, there appears to be no similar mechanism to guarantee that Hamas does not use for terrorism the money it saves by not paying salaries.

The same article also reports on a survey that indicates that one third of the 'Palestinian Authority's' residents are considering leaving the PA.
