'Palestinians' blow up donkey; PETA silent

'Palestinians' detonated a donkey laden with 200 kilos on the Gaza border on Tuesday. No people were hurt (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).
A small Syrian-backed terrorist group in Gaza said its activists blew up a donkey cart laden with explosives close to the border with Israel on Tuesday, killing the animal but causing no human casualties.

Abu Ghassan, spokesman for the terrorist group, said more than 200 kilograms of dynamite were heaped on the animal-drawn cart. He added that the explosives were detonated 60 meters from the concrete security barrier that separates the territory from Israel.

The donkey was killed in the blast, but there were no reports of human casualties. Israeli troops routinely patrol the border, and impoverished Gazans often gather rubble in the area.

The Israeli military confirmed the blast, but had no further comment. The IDF said Gaza terrorists also fired two mortar shells into Israel on Tuesday, which fell in the Netiv Ha'asara area without causing damage or casualties.
In the past, PETA has been concerned about the use of animals to carry suicide bombs, although it was not concerned about the human casualties.
On January 26, Palestinian terrorists booby-trapped a donkey and sent it towards a group of Israelis at a bus stop south of Jerusalem, hoping to kill and maim as many as possible. The two bombs attached to the donkey were detonated simultaneously by two cellphones. Fortunately for the Israeli bus passengers, the donkey exploded before it reached them and no one was physically injured, although ambulance crews treated a number of people for shock.

Earlier this month, Ingrid Newkirk, president of the American animal rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) wrote to Palestinian Authority chairman Yasser Arafat: "Your Excellency, We have received many calls and letters from people shocked at the bombing. If you have the opportunity, will you please add to your burdens my request that you appeal to all those who listen to you to leave the animals out of the conflict?"

She was then asked by the Washington Post whether she would also criticize the attempt by the Palestinian perpetrators to kill Israeli civilians but she said it was not her business to do so. In January 2003 – the month in which the donkey died – 21 Israelis and eight foreign nationals were killed by Palestinian terrorists in Israel, and 127 others were injured.
The picture at the top is donkeys, not zebras.

Those aren't real zebras but donkeys painted like zebras. It is terrible that anyone would use and animal as a walking bomb but then again when you are dealing with people who have no regard for human life, what is a donkey to them?

It is terrible that such things happen and PETA doesn't do anything. You can tell PETA is afraid of Palestinians.

Those aren't reall zebras, the body style is that of a Mediteranian type donkey, painted to look like a zebra.

It is awful that anyone would use such a humble and beautiful animal as a walking bomb, but then again, the Palestinian terrorists have no regard for human life, what is a donkey to them?

PETA should be ashamed of themselves. They are AFRAID of Palestinians or they would have done more than they have. They are constantly harrasing people in the USA who have horses and donkeys for just riding them. What cowards PETA people are.
