The talk show host and the dictator

64-year old Gabi Gazit (pictured) hosts the very popular HaKol Diburim (It's All Talk) on Israel's government-owned Reshet Bet (Second Station) between 10:00 am and Noon Sunday through Thursday. Gazit has views of Jews that are completely in accord with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Well, views of some Jews anyway.
Radio broadcaster Gabi Gazit launched into a diatribe against the Haredi religious public on air. He called the Haredim "worms, regressive, leeches and animals" and called for "packing them all up and sending them to Brooklyn". He also said that Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria were "an exact copy of what the Nazis said against the Jews."

UTJ MK Moshe Gafni filed a complaint with the Press Council and the Second Broadcasting Authority.
No, don't worry, the complaint won't go anywhere. An apology at most. After all, he was just exercising his rights to freedom of speech at taxpayer expense. And besides, Haredim are used to being called things like that anyway and they really don't mind it. You mean there's something wrong with it?

Gazit's long overdue to be forced into retirement for the vile rabid left wing lunatic broadcaster he's been for decades.

How did they allow him back on Hakol Diburim after he ranted on live broadcast a few years ago against the paid-for commercial from the EFRAT organization, just after the commercial had been aired?!

Scum.

In Israel, the First Amendment applies only to the Left. If any one else said the same things Gabi Gazitt said about the Haredim about the Left, that person would be fired from his job and imprisoned for "incitement."

Having politically incorrect opinions in Israel can bring you a police notice. Don't worry, nothing will happen to Gazitt - he belongs to Israel's "in" crowd.

This is far from the first time Gazit has made such remarks. I remember hearing him say some extremely vile anti-religious comments right before the Gaza expulsion.

After Yakov Elon's wink-wink nudge-nudge non-apology a few weeks back for his "from Haredim to humans" remark, do I expect anything to happen to Gazit? No.

Gazit left Reshet Bet and hakol diburim a while ago.
He is on 103FM - Gush Dan local radio station.
Yaron Dekel now hosts hakol diburim - he is much more civil.
