Surprise! Three more 'honor killings' - of virgins!
Three sisters who were found buried together in a shallow grave near Dir el-Balach in the Gaza Strip on Monday were apparently the victims of 'honor killings' by male cousins according to a report in this morning's Jerusalem Post. Tragically, the three sisters, Nahed Hija, 16, Suha Hija, 19, and Lina Hija, 22, were all found to be virgins by medical examiners at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City according to Mona El-Shawa, director of the Women's Rights Unit at the 'Palestinian' Center for 'Human Rights.' In other words, the three sisters were murdered based on a suspicion that turned out to be false!The girls had suffered multiple stab wounds - most notably to the face and knees.What a shock! The 'Palestinian' judiciary does not take honor killings seriously just like every place else in the Muslim world!
Local rumors implicated the sisters' male cousins in the murder, leading to speculation that this was more than likely an honor killing.
Hamas authorities have released a statement saying they knew who the killers were and planned to arrest them.
While at least 12 women were victims of honor killings in the West Bank and Gaza Strip last year, this was the first time three sisters were murdered together.
According to [Hamdi] Shakkour [of the 'Palestinian' Center for 'Human Rights'], the Palestinian judiciary does not take honor killings seriously. Perpetrators are often given light sentences of a few years, while those convicted of murder under other circumstances are sentenced to death.
Actually, the 'Palestinians' have once again outdone the rest of the Muslim world in their brutality: three murders and they were all virgins!

What a contrast to our laws. Even though our rabbis ascribe some culpability to Dinah bat Yaakov ("yats'anit haitah"), the just retribution wasn't in the form of "honor"-murdering her, it was in the form of killing Chamor ben Shchem and all his people. Because they were, after all, the perpetrators.
